    Join mixed media artist and photographer Angela Yonke to create fun photo transfer collages using household materials, paper, and upcycled fabrics.

    Participants will use eco-friendly solvents found at home and safe for handling to transfer printed images on to various papers and fabric for patches. Using an image-release and transfer printmaking process, images will be arranged into curated compositions and hand-printed on to different surfaces. You may also use your own images by emailing the instructor 48 hours in advance of the workshop. Time will allow for adding additional designs with art materials to your artworks as well. This session will include demonstration of techniques and tips for working at home.

    Join photographer Bryan Schutmaat in Livingston, Montana, for an immersive workshop set against the grand backdrop of the Rocky Mountains. This experience blends fieldwork and creative development, featuring guided sessions in both Paradise Valley and the town itself, where participants will explore landscape and portrait photography through direct, hands-on demonstration and instruction.

    Join photographer Christopher Campbell at Strata’s project space for an introductory course in film-based 35mm black and white photography. The class is designed to provide you with a foundational understanding of the technical, aesthetic, and conceptual aspects of photography as it relates to the visual arts. Specific areas of technical instruction will include: the manual functions of your 35mm camera and exposing 35mm black and white film.

    Join us for a talk with Bryan Schutmaat, a photographer based in Austin, Texas whose work has been widely exhibited and published. He has won numerous awards, including a John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Fellowship, the Aperture Portfolio Prize, and an Aaron Siskind Fellowship. Bryan’s prints are held in many collections, such as the Baltimore Museum of Art, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Pier 24 Photography, Rijksmuseum, and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. He co-founded the imprint, Trespasser.

    Strata Editions is proud to carry Bryan’s publication, Good Goddamn, as part of our first collection, Western Contemporary; this publication was generously made available by the artist and is sold out elsewhere.
